sketches

A man with cat ears kissing the helmet of a knight with cat ears.
Two robots embracing eachother in a waltz.
A buff woman standing with arms crossed.

Sketchy and experimental; no color or rendering. Cleanliness of the lineart may vary. Suggestions can be made regarding pose or expression, but it is not always guaranteed; artistic liberty will most likely be exercised.

pixel icon

$40

A man smiling and waving.

Pixel art icon rendered in a PC-98-inspired style, cropped to bust height. 160x160px in size, and constrained to only 16 colors (as per the limitations of the PC-98 system). Expect some color experimentation due to this!

These are, by default, animated to blink with 4 frames, unless stated otherwise. We can discuss a similar movement if you'd like, but it won't be anything complex.

add-ons

3D model

$60

Fanart of Yuri Otani from Alien Nine holding her net and looking scared.

A completely-from-scratch 3D model of your character, made in Blender!

My style is closest to lowpoly-to-midpoly; think PS2 or DSi games. I do not do highpoly models right now.

At no extra charge, your model will come with the Blender file, as well as a turntable GIF (such as the example) and, if rigged, 1 fitting pose to be rendered in.

If you'd like, I can also give your model multiple interchangible expressions, props, additional pose renders, or a custom animation loop. The pricing of any additions depend on complexity. You must let me know of any additions you'd like before I begin on the commission.

custom design

$30

A man in a customized motorcycle suit giving a thumbs up.

A custom character designed just for you! I can also redesign a pre-existing character, as little or as much as you'd like, as long as the TOS of the original designer complies.

You'll need to provide some sort of direction for me to take the design in; a moodboard (Pinterest boards, collages, etc.) is especially helpful for this if you have a specific idea in mind, but it's not required.

More about the process can be read under the TOS tab.

TERMS OF SERVICE

A banner of various commissions.

GENERAL

RIGHTS

  • Do not claim my work as your own.
  • Do not use or associate my work for the profit or advertisement of non-fungible tokens (NFT) or cryptocurrency, under any possible circumstances.
  • Do not use or associate my work for the development, profit, or advertisement of AI or AI-based programs or databases.
  • My work is only available for personal use - using it for anything otherwise, especially commercial use, without my consent is strictly prohibited.
  • As long as it does not conflict with the above limitations, the client can honestly do whatever they want with my artwork so long as credit is readily provided, no profit is being made from its distribution, and it is not being used for unlawful purposes.
  • The client may not alter the artwork after its completion with the intent to portray the changes as if they were my doing. Alterations such as cropping and applying color filters will always be permitted.
  • By commissioning me, the client confirms that they are the cardholder of the card associated with the Paypal / Ko-fi account used in the transaction.
  • I retain the right to reject a commission if I don't feel confident in my ability to execute it.
  • The above terms apply to any and all art commissions I accept, including general art, models, pixel art, reference sheets, or character designs.
  • Commissioning me means the client abides by and accepts the above terms in their entirety.

PAYMENT

  • The client must pay me up front before I begin working on the commission.
  • I accept payment plans regardless of price. However, I will not start on the commission until it is fully paid off.
  • The purchased commission is for the digital file of the artwork, not a print or physical copy.
  • I accept payment in USD only, handled through Paypal invoices or Ko-fi; I do not work with other apps or mediums right now.
  • Refunds or cancellations are available up until the piece is totally finished. After it's done and sent, refunds will not be accepted.
  • I may, however, offer an optional partial (30%) refund after the piece is completed, if the finished product was not delivered after 35 days.
  • The aforementioned offer of a free bonus sketch or partial refund is automatically rendered unavailable after one week post-completion of your commission. After a week of me delivering your finished commission, I will assume you are satisfied with the product and do not require compensation, and you may not request either of them.
  • I may charge a minor fee if a visual reference is not provided for the desired character.
  • I may charge an additional unlisted fee depending on the level of complexity of the desired artwork, or any other additions that may be unexpectedly requested after the initial payment.
  • Minor edits, such as for incorrectly drawn or missing details on my behalf, are provided free of charge.
  • If a refund is in order, please do not use paypal chargeback! I will always refund the money myself upon request, assuming a refund is feasible according to my TOS.

CHARACTER DESIGNS

RIGHTS

  • Designs bought from me can be used for any non-commercial purposes. If you would like commercial rights, please discuss it with me directly. I am generally pretty lax about this and will most likely say yes anyway, but I will want to discuss it with you to be sure.
  • Designs bought from me can be altered in any way, as long as the overall spirit of the original design is retained (i.e., in the way that there is no point in buying the design if you intend on changing it to the point of being unrecognizable).
  • However, if you would like to make changes to the design, please do not edit my work (that is, the initial concept art) directly.
  • Regardless of who owns the design or what changes are made, credit must always be given to me for the original design/concept.
  • While reselling a design by me is acceptable, do not resell the design for more than the original price it was purchased unless more art is added to the character's total worth, and said art is priced reasonably. This applies if you got the design in a free trade as well; you can resell for the worth of any art you added.
  • I will always allow my designs to be transferrable, tradable, re-sold, so on.
  • All designs created by me fall under these terms; owning one of my designs means you abide by and agree to these terms, even if it was not purchased directly from me.

PROCESS

GENERAL ART

  • I may take up to 2-3 days to see and respond to your email/message, depending on my current workload and real-life status.

  • Upon accepting, I usually send a rough sketch of what I'm thinking for your commission and discuss it with you first. After an invoice is sent over Paypal / Ko-fi and payment is received, the lineart will be completed shortly after for approval. If the commission is only a sketch, there may be no "rough sketch" period, and you will instead only receive the finished product after full payment. The client should suggest any desired changes to the artwork's concept here before I color, if applicable. Changes after this point may cost extra if they aren't minor.

  • After approval, I will move on to complete the artwork with further rendering. Throughout the process, I will stay in contact with the client to discuss the art as I work, and will send updates at any stage of the process if requested. Staying in contact includes questions about posing, placement, design, etc. if applicable, and being updated on any sudden changes or events in my personal life which may majorly affect productivity or delivery time.

  • Depending on the complexity of the commission and my current workload, it may take up to 5 weeks (35 days) before I finish your commission. The date in which your commission can be considered "overdue" will be included on the invoice, for your reference and my own.
  • If it takes any longer than that, know that it will never be intentional, but a single free sketch, to be completed within the same day, will be offered as compensation. Alternatively, a partial refund may be exclusively available in cases of late delivery.

3D MODELS

  • I may take up to 2-3 days to see and respond to your email/message, depending on my current workload and real-life status.

  • Upon accepting, I will plan with you on what you'd like your model to be able to do, and what it should have - whether you'd like it rigged (able to move), or have multiple interchangible expressions, so on and so forth. Note that my models are not sculpts (though I have mistakenly referred to them as this in the past), and if you don't want me to rig your model, it will be delivered in a static T-pose by default.
  • (If the model I'm working on for you was free from a won raffle or an art trade, I will most likely still ask you what you'd like, but might decide on these additions for you, if not give you all of the above as a treat. It's just important to plan it out more particularly if you're commissioning me, since some of these additions will drastically change the difficulty of making the model, and thus, the overall price.)
  • After receiving full payment, I will then begin constructing the mesh of your model. It's too complicated of a process to detail in its entirety here, but rest assured that I will keep you fully updated as I make progress on your commission. If I have any questions related to either the character or how you'd like their model created, I will ask you right away.

  • My workflow process goes like this: Modelling the mesh, re-topologizing (if necessary), UV-unwrapping, texturing, rigging, weight-painting, and posing/rendering.

  • In order to keep the process as uncomplicated as it can be, you MUST decide on any additions you want your model to have BEFORE payment. Additions to your model include multiple or interchangible expressions (including closed eyes for blinking), shaded textures, additional props, or a rig (if you'd like your character to be able to pose and move).
  • For the purpose of clarity, what is included in a base-price purchase of a 3D model by me through non-optional default is as follows: a .DAE file (contains the model information, consisting of a mesh and texture); multiple .PNG files (poses); and a .GIF of your animated turnaround. Additional purchased customizations for your model such as extra poses or extra animations will be delivered in .PNG or .GIF form as well.

  • Throughout the process, I will stay in contact with the client to discuss the model as I work, and will send updates at any stage of the process if requested. Staying in contact includes questions about posing, placement, design, etc. if applicable, and being updated on any sudden changes or events in my personal life which may majorly affect productivity or delivery time.
  • Depending on the complexity of the commission and my current workload, it may take up to 10 weeks (70 days) before I finish your commission.

CHARACTER DESIGNS

  • I may take up to 2-3 days to see and respond to your email/message, depending on my current workload and real-life status.

  • Upon accepting and receiving full payment, I will start on a few design passes for your commission, typically first in black and white. The below image is an example of this stage that I designed for a client.
  • During this process, you should pick which pass you like best. It is also acceptable to request that I mix and match features (i.e., the hair of one and jacket of another) or come up with more passes altogether to arrive to the version of the design you prefer. There is generally no limit to the amount of changes you ask of me throughout the entire process. Note, however, that I reserve the right to charge more if I feel that the amount of passes or changes I'm being asked to come up with is excessive or repeatedly extreme.

  • After we arrive to a version of the design you like, I will then begin applying colors. Picking a color scheme is a similar process to the one described above; I will create multiple versions for you to choose, ask me to edit, mix and match, etc.
  • The process of a redesign as opposed to an entirely new character might be different depending on how much you ask me to redesign, and how much free reign / artistic liberty I am given through either your limitations or that of the original creator's TOS.

  • If you want, I can skip this back-and-forth process and just come up with the entire design - from concept to color - on my own, and only deliver to you the final product once it's finished. This might be beneficial if you don't have a specific idea for the character in mind, or if you'd just like me to take full artistic liberty over the character's concept. Kind of like buying a blind bag...

  • Throughout the process, I will stay in contact with the client to discuss the art as I work, and will send updates at any stage of the process if requested.
  • The date in which your commission can be considered "overdue" will be included on the invoice, for your reference and my own. If it takes any longer than that, know that it will never be intentional, but a single free sketch, to be completed within the same day, will be offered as compensation. Alternatively, a partial refund may be exclusively available in cases of late delivery.
